About the Funder Affinity Groups
Funder affinity groups provide an opportunity for funders with common interests to meet each other, share knowledge and encourage collaborative funding. Some affinity groups are formed around a specific target population (e.g. Aboriginal people) and some are formed around a particular field of interest or issue (e.g. early childhood development, mental health). These networks provide rich resources for partnership, collaboration and expertise.
Typically, a funder affinity group is self-directed. Each affinity group supported by PFC is led by a self-chosen convener. Topics for meetings are suggested by the conveners and/or members of each affinity group. Affinity group meetings are open to all members of PFC as well as other funders. The terms and conditions of membership in each affinity group are determined by the affinity group.
